Dissemination & Implementation Support

Overview

Dissemination and Implementation science aids in the process of bringing evidence-based interventions into practice within health care and community settings.

As part of CCTS’s Community Engagement and Collaboration Core, dissemination and implementation services align with our community engagement endeavors to address complex health issues, bring together researchers and communities, and increase the number of evidence-based interventions that are implemented in real-world practices. Our expertise is especially relevant to researchers who address the health needs of the diverse Chicago community, particularly our urban youth.

Implementation support focuses on the integration of evidence-based interventions into practice settings. How a health intervention is implemented can impact its outcomes in ways a researcher never intended. We can help researchers identify both barriers and opportunities for successful implementation. Additionally, research dissemination consultations can support these efforts through the process of spreading knowledge and information to the community beyond the standard journal publications and meeting presentations.
