About
Amber is an anthropologist working to improve equity and accessibility in translational science though qualitative interviewing. She work to understand the facilitators and challenges to equity and accessibility by developing narratives drawn from diverse communities.
Amber has previously worked in public policy and translational research to improve health and wellbeing, including work in COVID-19 Vaccine access, suicide prevention, mental health and addiction care access, aging and caregiver services, childhood lead poisoning prevention, and ensuring the health and safety of Nevada’s LGBTQ+ youth. Outside of her passion for people, she enjoys fiber arts, reading, baking, video games, and outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, and kayaking.
