About
Charity Ball, Director of Clinical Research Operations, is the day-to-day operations leader for the CRC. Her role focuses on staff management, daily clinic flow, utilization tracking and evaluation, and quality assurance. She has an extensive clinical research background that includes over 15 years of experience in various roles including research coordinator, research manager, and project manager of a multi-site NHLBI funded trial.
Charity is also the point of contact for our CCTS Trial Innovation Network (TIN) Hub. The TIN was started by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2017 to help researchers carry out multicenter clinical trials better, faster and more cost-efficiently, and to create a national laboratory to study, understand and innovate the process of conducting clinical trials. Charity received her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Prairie View A&M University, in Prairie View, Texas. She received her master’s degree in nursing at Saint Xavier University in Chicago. Her clinical nursing milieu is in cardiology and critical care.
