In addition to serving as Associate Director of the Informatics and Data Science team, Dr. Hribar is a professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and serves as deputy director of the AI Health4All Center. Her research focuses on leveraging electronic health record (EHR) data for clinical and operational improvements. Her work includes using audit logs to study clinical workflows, predictive modeling with clinical data, and evaluating EHR documentation and data quality. Dr. Hribar's background spans mathematics, operations research, computer science, and clinical informatics, supported by her training as an NLM postdoctoral fellow.
In partnership with Dr. Kal Pasupathy, Dr. Hribar will help lead the strategic development and integration of informatics resources to support clinical and translational research across the university. She will focus on fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, aligning with data governance policies, and enhancing access to EHR data and analytics platforms to advance data-driven research and improve patient care.
